I haven't updated my fancy code to scrape the new site to make the usual tables I post here, so that will have to wait a day or two until I get some coding time...
Congrats to Evan in the Open section and to Pruthvi, Hrishid and James Mading for tying for first in the Reserve section.
Remember, next week is blitz (unrated), and then the holiday party, then we start the new year. The new year begins two new adventures for WCC - 1) our new U1200 and 1200+ sections, with the right for the three Reserve winners to play in the 1200+ section if they'd like, and 2) our rated quad events starting sometime in Q1 next year. Plan accordingly, and check here and on the website next week for updated scheduling information.
Reminder - There's no reason for a forfeit. We've had several over the last couple of events, and another last night. Please text or email if you know you're going to be absent. It's just common courtesy. Personally, I don't want to move to the SWCC policy - 1 forfeit and you're out, with a fine to be paid before you can play at the club again - but if this remains an issue, it will get discussed at the next board meeting...

Below are the R3 results and potential R4 pairings for when this event resumes on 12/3.
Also - please do review the recent email and blog post about changes approved by the recent WCC Board meeting. Hoping everyone will agree that these changes will help improve the competitiveness games and make everyone's time at WCC a little more fun. Feedback is welcome (and was solicited ahead of time), but these changes have been adopted, and we'd like to see how they work out over the next several months.
